For a production of Bonnets: How Ladies of Good Breeding are Induced to Murder at Emerson College, we fabricated two 3D sculptures, a scaffolding like platform unit, a pipe sculpture, and 3 faux neon signs.
SCULPTURE
The sculptures are made of multiple layers of Masonite that we glued together. These layers are supported by a spine made of 3/4” plywood that helps the sculpture keep its curved shape.

This is a front view of one of the sculptures after installation.

NEON SIGNS
The neon signs were constructed with a combination of 3/4” plywood at 1/8” Masonite. We used CNC cut letters as guides to help us with the process of wiring the faux-neon effect. We used E.L wire and a thin flexible plastic tube to create the faux-neon effect.
